Melbourne Food & Wine 2008

Boy did we have fun! Chris the balloon blowing clown chef was the funniest person in the world, the amazing Bon Appetit show was, well amazing, and Ambah the face painter did herself proud (just how many little bits of fruit she painted on cute little faces we will never know).....

Chris the Chef Clown

Thank you to some special folk:

  • The Cassis girls (catering goddesses)
  • The Blackwell Family (despite dangerous taxi drivers)
  • Phillipa's Bakery (for delicious little dinner rolls at cost)
  • Bega Cheese (for cheese slices and "Stringers")
  • Perfection Fresh (for the salad leaves and grapes)
  • Second Bite (for redistributing our leftovers to the needy)
  • Elmac Management & Entertain Oz (for the street artists)
  • Ikea (for donating the textas)

The friendly team at The Chef's Toolbox support the work of the Foundation by donating a share of their profits, supplying fabulous cooking equipment and volunteers! They worked tirelessly on the day and we could not have made our stall so attractive without them.

The Connex Sizzle! was part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival 2008 and billed as "the biggest backyard BBQ of the year". The festival organisers were committed to children's food education and we thank them for asking us to contribute our ideas and activities.
